Safety Valve Lapping Tools

Safety valve lapping tool set for separate lapping of valve disc and seat. Multiple lapping heads for DN32-DN150 safety valves. Achieve good flatness and surface finish, suitable for on-site maintenance.

The sealing surface of a safety valve consists of two parts: the valve disc and the valve seat. Without special tools, operators often lap the valve seat against the valve disc. This method fails to guarantee flatness and tends to cause leakage. The proper practice is to lap them separately so that both flatness and surface finish can be achieved.

This set of tools is composed of lapping plates, lapping heads and auxiliary tools. There are two lapping plates for valve disc lapping: a hard alloy fine lapping plate with a diameter of 270 mm and a soft cast iron rough lapping plate with a diameter of 300 mm. Nine sizes of lapping heads are available for valve seat lapping (DN20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 65, 80, 100, 150mm). Designed in accordance with nominal diameters under GB1047, they are suitable for repairing various types of safety valves with nominal diameters from DN32 to DN150mm.

If the lapping plates become worn after long-term use, they can be reground on a surface grinder.

This product is suitable for on-site operation.
